experience innsbruck in summer in 2 days
day 1
For the morning, we recommend a visit to one of the many museums, such as the Imperial Hofburg, the Folk Art Museum or the Ferdinandeum with its ever-changing, impressive exhibitions. At lunchtime, you can visit one of the many eateries in Maria-Theresien-Strasse, on the terrace of the Markthalle or in the lively city centre. At 11:00 a.m. you can join the city tour on foot as a culture fan, followed by a climb up the city tower. After 133 steps, you will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the old town. The best view is guaranteed on the Nordkette at more than 2,000 metres above sea level. This is easily accessible with the Nordkettenbahnen, which start directly in the centre. In addition, the Alpine Zoo with its diverse animal world is an exciting excursion on the way down.

day 2
On the second day, we recommend a visit to the Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens. These offer artistic arrangements, sparkling light and water shows accompanied by spherical musical performances. They are easily accessible daily at various times with the Crystal Worlds shuttle. For the afternoon, a mountain trip to the Patscherkofel is recommended. On Innsbruck's local mountain at 2,246 metres, there is Austria's highest botanical garden with over 400 plants to marvel at. It is also home to one of the oldest and largest Swiss stone pine stands in Europe. You can discover these along the Swiss Pine Trail. When the good weather takes a short break, Innsbruck offers exciting alternatives: The Audioversum or the Grassmayr bell foundry bring magical worlds to life. In addition, you can take advantage of the shopping opportunities in the city.
The sights, admissions and activities, such as the mountain tours, are included in the 48-hour INNSBRUCK Card.
